Tracer 7

Tracer 7

The 2026 Yamaha Tracer 7 is set to redefine the middleweight Sport Touring segment with a bold new look and a host of exciting technological upgrades that enhance both long distance performance and comfort.

Developed for riders seeking a thrilling everyday sporty ride and the ability to tackle challenging commutes and long distance tours, the new Tracer 7 combines the latest Yamaha technology with refined chassis and ergonomic enhancements to offer a dynamic and exhilarating ride with unmatched levels of comfort and practicality.

Tracer 7 Features

Torque-Rich CP2 Engine

Torque-Rich CP2 Engine

The Tracer 7 features the compact 689cc liquid-cooled, inline twin cylinder, DOHC CP2 engine with fuel injection, outstanding low- to mid-range torque and strong high-rpm pulling power. Fuel injection settings are optimised for seamless, linear throttle response, even when the throttle is slightly open at low rpm.

Dynamic New Look

Dynamic New Look

The Tracer 7 blends sleek next generation sporty aesthetics with practical comfort-focussed functionality. The new compact forward-motion design exudes energy as if ready to spring into action even at a standstill. The LED headlights, framed by sleek bodywork and subtly covered by side cowling, maintain a subtle profile while the slim rear taillight complements the compact tail, adding depth and reinforcing the Tracer 7's dynamic and refined aesthetics.

YCC-T Riding Modes

YCC-T Riding Modes

YCC-T (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle) unlocks a new generation of rider aids and contributes to an even more linear power delivery. Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) gives you the choice of two throttle maps and switchable traction control, with the option of a customisable YRC mode to tailor the Tracer 7’s performance to your exact needs.

Adjustable front and rear suspension

New adjustable 41mm ‘upside down’ forks offer high levels of control and feel for enhanced road-holding performance while complementing the Tracer 7’s image as a serious sport tourer. A monocross linked-type rear shock, adjustable for both preload and rebound damping contributes to a perfect blend of comfort and responsiveness for long-distance sporty rides.

5in TFT with Connectivity

5in TFT with Connectivity

The Tracer 7’s 5-inch colour TFT display comes with multiple themes and smartphone connectivity via the free MyRide app, so you can listen to music as well as view call and message notifications. Full map and turn by turn navigation is available through the free Garmin StreetCross app, all of which can be controlled through the new ergonomic switchgear.

Larger 18L fuel tank

Larger 18L fuel tank

Covering more miles on the Tracer 7 just got easier with a larger 18L fuel tank, sculpted for an excellent fit to the rider’s lower body to make mounting and dismounting even easier. Textured grips below the tank’s wider shoulders enhance the feeling of being one with the bike while solidifying the Tracer 7’s ability to put the sport into touring.

Cruise Control

Cruise Control

Tracer 7 now includes Cruise Control as standard to make long-distance touring even easier. This easy-to-use system enables riders to maintain a steady speed on long open roads, reducing the need for constant throttle adjustments and providing a more relaxed, comfortable ride over extended distances. Available from third gear and above 40km/h, it can be adjusted in increments of 1km/hr or 10 km/hr, depending on the riding situation.

Taking chassis enhancements a step further, a newly designed swingarm has been extended by 40mm and optimised for greater rigidity. This results in excellent stability at higher speeds and a more planted feel when cornering. In addition, the new model features an updated chain cover designed for the longer swingarm and offers increased rigidity with additional attachment points to reduce vibration and enhance protection against water and debris for a smoother, cleaner ride.

Intuitive Switchgear

Intuitive Switchgear

New ergonomic switchgear clusters enable intuitive and easy operation of the TRACER 7’s functions, including smartphone connectivity features, Yamaha Ride Control settings and Cruise Control. New self cancelling turn signals offer three-flash function for when changing lanes, plus an emergency flash function to alert other road users during an emergency stop.

Dual front discs

Dual front discs

Providing next level stopping power, the third generation Tracer 7 features large twin discs gripped by radially mounted 4-piston brake calipers. The design facilitates strong and consistent braking performance thanks to the increased rigidity, which ensures forces are equally distributed under heavy braking.

Excellent Wind Protection

Excellent Wind Protection

The Tracer 7 delivers excellent wind protection through an enhanced screen that reduces airflow on the body and wind noise to help limit fatigue on the long tours or early morning commutes. New stylish yet tough knuckle visor also keeps your hands enclosed for excellent protection from the elements.

Adjustable Seat

Adjustable Seat

The Tracer 7’s new wider handlebars and adjustable two-part seat creates a more commanding, confidence-inspiring ride. Taller riders can raise the seat by 20mm for a custom fit, while maintaining the accessible 830mm standard height. Pillions also get an upgrade with a larger, more comfortable seat and enhanced pillion assist grips for a secure, relaxed ride.
